 Pigments that gives fruits and vegetables their bright colors represent a variety of protective compounds.

Colour : Red
Foods : tomatoes & tomatoes product, watermelon, guava
Colourful protective substances and possible actions : - lycopene : antioxidant > cut prostate cancer risk

Colour : Orange
Foods : Carrots, yams, sweet potatoes, mangos, pumpkin
Colourful protective substances and possible actions : - beta-carotene : support imune system > powerful antioxidant

Colour : Yellow-orange
Foods : oranges, lemons, grapefruits, papayas, peaches
Colourful protective substances and possible actions :- vitamin C, flavonoids : inhibit tumor cell growth, detoxity harmful substances

Foods : Spinach, kale, collards, another greens
